Palmira, vintage 2005, 64% cocoa, single estate bar

The latest single origin/estate bar from Valrhona. Created from the fine flavoured Criollo cocoa beans from the Palmira plantation in west Venezuela. As expected from Valrhona, this dark chocolate bar exudes fruit notes but with an additional very distinct honey flavour and so quite a sweet dark chocolate. A slight powder in the mouth feel but an exceptional chocolate with great length in flavour.

Mazet - A fine selection of speciality hazelnuts, from the whole caramelised hazelnut enrobed in dark chocolate to the milk chocolate enrobed hazelnut and orange nougat and finally the milk chocolate enrobed sugared hazelnut.

Amedei - An exceptionally smooth and creamy, 32% cocoa, milk chocolate bar with mouth filling flavours of butter fudge and caramel with notes of malt. A splendid milk chocolate from Amedei and one of the best we have eaten. This is how real milk chocolate should taste.
